A collection of photos from our time spent in New Zealand in the winter of 2018.

"O'hau Beautiful" - We followed Google Maps to a place that looked like it should be pretty; the river delta and mountains came together, and we thought it might look nice from the sky... We expected pretty, what we got was literally JAW-DROPPING!

"We Are Infinite" - The second and final time we witnessed the Southern Aurora was far more faint, but perhaps more incredible in their own way.  This photo is just one of 400 taken from a time lapse tracking the Milky Way's descent.  

"Cold" - Even the waning light of sunset can not warm this cold blue scene at Mt Cook National Park. 

"Doubtful Sunrise" - It rained for all but 15 minutes that fateful morning at Doubtful Sound; how appropriate.  We were Doubtful we would get anything, and what we received was spectacular!

"A Fairytale Life" - This shot was planned out for weeks, tracking the Milky Way's timing and lunar cycles to get the exact shot of the Milky Way framed by the tree and swing.  An unbelievable moment in this Fairytale Life.

"Glacial Waters" - Lake Pukaki in New Zealand is famous for its strikingly-colored waters, but I've never seen it more beautiful than with that fresh layer of snow capping the mountains.

"The Road to Cook" - The journey to Mount Cook is as spectacular as the destination.  This may be the greatest drive in all of New Zealand.

"The Southern Lights" - It's rare anyone gets to witness the Aurora Borealis, rare still they see the Aurora Australis, and unheard of to see them both in the same year.  2018 was a year to be remember!

"Stargazing" - This shot was taken on a quarter moon, giving ample light to our foreground but bringing down the vibrancy of the Milky Way quite a bit.  I still love the feeling captured, staring up at a crystal sky tucked into a stunning mountain setting. 

"Otherworld" - One of the oddest landscapes I encountered in New Zealand was the Clay Cliffs, that looked strange from the surface but downright otherworldly from the sky!

"Hear the Marlborough Sounds" - An aerial shot of the stunning Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand, seldom visited by most.
